My short term goals for college is to explore and find a career path that I am truly passionate and excited about and to prepare for a job in UI/UX design (for now). For my goals in life, I want to be happy and optimistic, and hopefully have a lot of money.

who do you look up to?

I look up to my mom the most in my life because I know she's gone through a lot raising my brother and I, as well as navigating through work and being a vital part of my life. She always has a positive and optimistic outlook on events in life, even when events are not so fortunate. She's the reason why I can come out of my darkest times and be able to have a smile on my face.

What kind of personalities do you get along with?

I think I get along with people who are more ambiverts because I think I am also an ambivert. I also get along with people who are easy-going because conversations tend to flow better. I also connect with people who are curious and open-minded and they bring more perspective into my life.

What is something you're proud of?

What do you hope to gain from the New Member Process for Kappa Phi Lambda?

I feel supported by friends when they are willing to listen to my troubles and genuinely understand and comfort me. I feel supported by family members when they send me text messages that are motivational and kind of philosophical at the same time. Mostly, I really appreciate people when they are accepting and understanding of me.

Something I'm proud of is completing the ABRSM grade 8 exam, because it was something I practiced hard for and was something where my hard work paid off.

Through the Kappa Phi Lambda new member process, I hope to gain a sense of sisterhood, personal growth, and a deeper connection to both my cultural heritage and the community around me. I’m excited to form meaningful, lifelong bonds with my potential sisters, who can support me through all the ups and downs of college life and beyond. I’m looking forward to building friendships rooted in trust, mutual respect, and shared experiences.

I also hope to grow as a leader and individual. I see the new member process as a way to push myself out of my comfort zone and develop new skills, whether it’s in leadership, time management, or teamwork. I believe Kappa Phi Lambda will provide me with opportunities to not only learn from my potential big and other members, but also to contribute my strengths and talents to the group.
