My name is Sophie Lee and I am a current sophomore majoring in biology and piano performance. I hope to go to graduate school eventually, possibly for piano performance. Music is what I grew up with and what occupies my mind most of the time. Since coming to college, I have been able to allow myself to be more immersed in what I do, including music and that is why it has become such a prominent part of my life.

I was born in Austin, Texas, and I grew up there my whole life until I came to college. My family immigrated from Taiwan, so all of my extended family lives there. My favorite Taiwanese food is probably braised pork on rice although it’s hard to choose with all the Taiwanese street foods. I spend most of my free time practicing piano, but when I’m not practicing I enjoy cooking with my friends and online shopping. I would say that I’m an extroverted introvert because I love my alone time but I also get very talkative in certain social settings. My MBTI used to be an INTP but now I recently got ENFP, and I think this is because I have recently been trying to branch out and be more involved with the campus community. My general interests outside music lie in shopping and fashion as well as matcha desserts and recently I’ve discovered that I also love hojicha 😋.
